NEWS FROM BETH Hi everyone! Hope you had a great summer and are ready for a great dance season.
Get ready to see many new faces this year! As many of you know, Carissa Baranoski is setting up her
Chiropractic practice. Even though it is sad to say good-bye, we are so proud of her and wish her lots of luck in her new
practice. I thank her for 10 wonderful years of ballet at BDA. Amber Murnick is also leaving to begin her career in massage
therapy. We thank Amber for her 3 years here at BDA and wish her much success.
I would like to welcome Joe Caruana to BDA. Joe will
be teaching our ballet classes. Joe is a founding member of Elements Contemporary Ballet, Chicago's first and only contemporary
ballet company. He received his training from the Pacific Northwest Ballet School in Seattle, The Performing Arts Center
in Los Angeles, and through workshops with the Boston Ballet, the Joffrey Ballet, Alonzo Kings LINES Contemporary Ballet
and the Lou Conte Dance Center. Prior to joing ECB, he was a member of River North Chicago Dance Company for three years.
He has also performed in numerous industrials and trade shows and has appeared in television shows such as That 70's Show,
KTLA's The Live Show and ABC's Morning Show. In addition to dancing with Elements, he also serves as Company Manager and a
resident choreographer. We welcome Joe to BDA. I know that you will enjoy his classes!!
We would also like to welcome Missy Paramo. Missy is educated in Ballet, Contemporary, Modern, Lyrical, Jazz
and Hip Hop. She continues to train with renown choreographers. Missy toured nationally with LA Dance Magic as an assistant
in classes of more than 1000 students, in approximately 40 cities across the United States. She has been blessed to appear
as principal dancer in Keri Noble's concert, Chicago Magnificent Mile, Dance Chicago and LA Dance Magic's Final Cut show.
Most recently, Missy has become an intern for professional dance company Inaside Dance Chicago.
Carissa Kramerich, former BDA student, will also be joining the BDA faculty. I know that she will
bring in fresh choreography and excitement to her classes!
